For communities
If you live in, run, or speak for a community listed here, you can claim its page. Claiming gives your community a voice on its own record without giving anyone the power to rewrite what the public can see.
What claiming lets you do. Set a contact policy and a visiting policy, in your own words. Choose whether your page shows an exact address or an approximate placement on the map. Propose values for facts the page does not yet have, such as housing model or population; staff review each proposal before it appears, and it is labelled as provided by the community. Post one public response to each experience report, which staff review before publishing and which you can edit for thirty minutes after it goes live; later edits appear as dated revisions. Your page carries the label "Claimed by an authorized representative" with the month it was claimed. No individual's name appears.
What claiming does not do. It does not let you delete, hide, or reorder experience reports, and reports are not removed at a community's request. It does not let you edit a fact that came from a public record or your own website; if one of those is wrong, use the correction form on your page and staff will check the evidence. It does not change where your community appears in search results. There is nothing to buy: Reside Atlas does not take payment, sponsorship, or advertising from listed communities.
How to claim. Find your community's page and choose "Claim this page". Sign in with your email, add your name and phone number so staff can reach you, and choose how to show your role: an email address at your community's own domain, a confirmation sent to a contact address already published for the community, a match against a public registry, or a signed authorization from the community. A staff member reviews the claim within ten business days and may write to you if something more is needed. Claims are reconfirmed once a year.
If two people claim the same community, both may respond to reports, and nothing else changes until staff have settled who speaks for it.
